Before You Buy
-
Yes. Our programmes are designed for students with basic art knowledge — you should already know fundamental techniques like drawing, painting, composition, and working with different mediums. These programmes focus on expanding how you think about art, not teaching technical skills. If you are completely new to art, we recommend building your foundational skills first through traditional art education, then returning to To Write Art when you are ready to explore deeper.
-
You should be comfortable:
Creating artwork in at least one medium (paint, pencil, digital, sculpture, etc.)
Understanding basic composition and design principles
Completing open-ended creative tasks independently
Working without step-by-step technical instruction
-
Any programme. They are designed to be explored individually, in any order. Choose based on what interests you most:
Perception — If you want to explore how emotions, senses, and personal experience shape creativity
Non-Human Art — If you are drawn to nature, spirituality, technology, and forces beyond human control
Art Intersections — If you enjoy puzzles, codes, systems, and philosophical challenges
There is no 'correct' starting point.
-
Yes, but we do not recommend it. Each programme is designed as a 12-month journey with weekly tasks. Doing multiple programmes simultaneously may dilute your focus and reduce the depth of your engagement. However, if you prefer to work this way, you are free to purchase and study as many programmes as you like.
-
The content is identical. The difference is format:
PDF Download Only: Delivered digitally within 24-48 hours. You can print it yourself, view on devices, and access it anywhere.
Hard Copy + PDF Bundle: Professionally printed and bound book delivered via post (Australia only, 7-14 business days). All hardcopy purchases also include a PDF version delivered within 24-48 hours.
Choose based on your learning preference. Some students prefer physical books for annotation; others prefer digital flexibility.
-
Yes. You are permitted to print ONE copy of the PDF for your personal use. You may not reproduce, distribute, or share printed or digital copies with others.
-
Our programmes are designed for mature learners aged 16 and above. The content includes complex philosophical concepts, open-ended tasks, and topics that require emotional maturity and independent critical thinking. Students under 16 may find the material challenging or inappropriate for their developmental stage.
-
No. You can complete all tasks using materials you already have or prefer to work with. The programmes give you complete freedom to choose your mediums — whether that is traditional (paint, pencil, clay), digital (Photoshop, Procreate), experimental (found objects, photography), or anything else. We do not prescribe specific materials.
-
Yes, with parental or guardian consent. If you are under the legal age of majority in your country or region, a parent or guardian must review and agree to our Terms and Conditions on your behalf, and sign the Legal Consent Form before you begin.
-
Yes. International students can purchase PDF downloads. Hard copy delivery is only available within Australia.
Support & Feedback
-
No. To Write Art does not provide feedback on individual artworks or creative direction. These programmes are designed for independent, self-directed learning. Feedback from us would contradict our philosophy — we want you to develop your own artistic voice, not create for our approval.
However, when you choose to share your work publicly on our platforms (Instagram and website), you may receive feedback from other students and platform visitors through comments and engagement. This peer feedback is organic and community-driven, not provided by To Write Art staff.
Each topic includes self-evaluation frameworks to help you reflect on your own work.
-
Self Check-In responses are reviewed confidentially by To Write Art staff at the end of your programme to provide a personalised evaluation summary. This summary offers insight into your creative patterns, time management, and growth areas — but it is not ongoing feedback during the programme.
Participation in Self Check-In is optional.
-
While To Write Art does not provide a dedicated community forum or feedback system, students who choose to share their work publicly on our platforms (Instagram and website) may receive feedback from other students and platform visitors through comments. This creates opportunities for you to:
Receive diverse perspectives on your work from fellow students and viewers
View how students from different cultural backgrounds interpret the same tasks
Exchange ideas and insights with other participants
Build connections within the creative community
Public sharing is entirely optional. If you prefer to study independently without external feedback, you can keep your work private.
-
We provide:
Responses to questions about programme logistics, technical issues, or administrative matters (email: towriteart@hotmail.com)
Weekly Self Check-In reminders (if you register)
Certificate of Completion for submitted work
Artwork sharing on our platforms (with your consent)
A public platform where students can view each other's work and engage through comments (entirely optional)
We do NOT provide:
Feedback on individual artwork or creative decisions from To Write Art staff
A dedicated community forum or feedback system managed by To Write Art
Ongoing mentorship or guidance
Motivation or accountability (beyond optional Self Check-In)
Technical art instruction
About The Programmes
-
Lifetime access for personal use. Once you purchase and download your programme, it is yours to keep and revisit indefinitely. We recommend backing up your files to ensure you do not lose access.
-
You can pause anytime. These are self-paced programmes with no fixed deadlines or expiry dates. Take as long as you need — whether that is the suggested 12 months, 6 months, or 2 years. Life happens. Move at your own pace.
-
No. Twelve months is the recommended timeframe based on completing one topic per month with 3-4 weeks per task. However, you are free to work faster or slower depending on your schedule, energy, and creative process. Some students complete programmes in 8 months; others take 18 months. There are no deadlines.
-
Yes. You may skip any topic or task that does not resonate with you or feels culturally, personally, or legally inappropriate for your situation. While the topics are numbered and follow a logical structure, you are not required to complete them in order. This is a self-directed programme — you choose your path. That said, each topic is designed to contribute to your overall growth, so engaging with the full programme is recommended where possible.
-
Conceptually challenging, but not technically difficult. The programmes require:
Emotional maturity and self-reflection
Ability to work with abstract, philosophical concepts
Comfort with open-ended tasks that have no 'right answer'
Independent thinking and self-motivation
If you need structure, step-by-step guidance, or clear 'correct answers', these programmes will frustrate you. If you enjoy exploration, ambiguity, and discovering your own meaning, you will thrive.
-
No. To Write Art offers self-directed programmes only. We do not provide classes, workshops, tutoring, or mentorship. Our programmes are designed for independent learners who thrive without ongoing teacher guidance.
-
Yes. Once downloaded, you can access the PDF anytime, anywhere, without internet connection. This is one reason we chose PDF format over an online platform.
-
Sit with the confusion. Often, not understanding immediately is part of the process. Re-read the topic, reflect on the questions posed, and trust your instincts. Remember: there are no 'correct' interpretations. Your confusion may be the doorway to your most authentic creative response.
If you have questions about programme logistics (not creative direction), contact us at towriteart@hotmail.com.
