These are not courses in making ‘better’ art. They are programs for thinking differently.

To Write Art – ATG CREATE differently — unconventional art education

Program 1 — Perception | 202-page PDF download

To Write Art — Perception
is a 12-month art education program that explores how perception, emotion, and personal experience shape the way we create art. Designed for mature students with basic art knowledge, the program moves beyond technique to focus on how we see, feel, and interpret the world.

Across seven core topics and twelve guided tasks, students investigate memory, absence, failure, colour, sound, identity, and the future of art. Each stage encourages reflection on how emotions, senses, culture, and imagination influence artistic decisions and outcomes.

The program is flexible and self-paced, allowing students to work in any medium — traditional or digital — while following a clear structure that includes learning objectives, reflective processes, mind maps, and practical guidance. Optional artwork submission is available for a Certificate of Completion, with opportunities to share work and perspectives globally.

By the end of the program, students develop a deeper understanding of art as both an emotional and intellectual practice, creating a body of work that reflects not just what they see, but how they see — thinking, observing, and creating in unconventional ways.

Program 2 — Non-Human Art | 202-page PDF download

To Write Art — Non-Human Art is a 12-month art education program that explores creativity beyond human boundaries. The program invites students to consider how non-human forces — such as nature, energy, technology, and the unexplained — can influence, shape, and collaborate in the creative process.

Designed for mature students with basic art knowledge, the program encourages open-ended, conceptual exploration. Students are guided to move beyond traditional approaches to art-making and engage with unconventional sources of inspiration, including living organisms, cosmic systems, spiritual belief, air and movement, artificial intelligence, and the unknown.

Across six core topics and ten guided tasks, students explore creativity as something that exists beyond individual authorship. The program supports experimentation across any medium — traditional, digital, found, or experimental — while providing clear structure through learning objectives, reflective processes, mind maps, and practical guidance. Optional artwork submission is available for a Certificate of Completion, with opportunities to share work and perspectives globally.

By the end of the program, students develop a more imaginative and resilient creative practice — questioning authorship, embracing collaboration with non-human forces, and creating work shaped by curiosity, openness, and a willingness to engage with the unfamiliar.

Program 3 — Art Intersections | 216-page PDF download

To Write Art — Art Intersections is a 12-month art education program that explores creativity at the intersection of ideas, systems, and hidden structures. The program examines how art communicates, conceals, and transforms meaning through logic, play, symbolism, and coded forms.

Designed for mature students with basic art knowledge, the program suits those who enjoy problem-solving, symbolic thinking, and reflective practice. Students are encouraged to investigate how art operates as a system — using puzzles, games, numbers, time, and codes to create layered, intellectually engaging work.

Across seven core topics and twelve guided tasks, students explore art as a method of inquiry and discovery. The program supports experimentation in any medium — traditional or experimental — while maintaining a strong framework through learning objectives, reflective processes, mind maps, and practical guidance. Ethical awareness and responsibility are embedded throughout, particularly when working with complex or sensitive ideas. Optional artwork submission is available for a Certificate of Completion, with opportunities to share work and perspectives globally.

By the end of the program, students develop the ability to think differently — approaching art as a layered system of challenge, reflection, and transformation. The resulting body of work demonstrates not only what can be made, but how ideas can be questioned, encoded, and re-imagined through art.
